To be an artist is to be a seeker. We sketch, so that we can find a drawing. (Life is the journey, not a destination.) The following painting series is an effort that never found traction. It was designed to be a precursor to 'Gordy Grundy's BLACKOUTS', a wild theatrical review filled with humor, music and a lot of skin. With these paintings, I was looking for a fast and furious visual language that never gelled. I fought, I flailed but I never really found it. (Except for the text pieces.)
